Being a Christian Is So Much More Than Going to Church

Let me say this outright, this is not an anti-church website, but I am certainly sympathetic to the many brothers and sisters in Christ who have thrown up their hands and left the Church seeking a deeper relationship with God. For me, being a Christian is SO MUCH MORE than charts and tables documenting whether I went to church or paid my tithes. Being a believer in Christ is everything to me… It is my relationship with wife and kids, my love for sports and video games, and my passion for my career. It is my art, my poetry, my photography, and my workout routine. For me being a Christian is a 24-7 experience, and in all I do I intend to represent Christ whether I am in Church or at the theater.

It has been an unfortunate occurrence that over the past few decades that more and more of the Christian life has revolved around a church building. Pastors are trying to keep their members busy at the church 7 days a week; and are taking more control of their member’s everyday lives. I certainly understand how this came to be, and I am NOT contending that churches should be closed Monday through Saturday. What I am saying is that CHRISTIANS NEED TO GET A LIFE.

Paul said that we should not be afraid to be a part of this world, but that, like him, we need to be active in this world, but remaining true to who we are… sons and daughters of Christ. Alltogod.org is an invitation for Christians to both share the Word of God, AND share the lives that we should be living, “MORE ABUNDANTLY”. Alltogod.org is SO MUCH MORE THAN CHURCH, we are Christians, living our lives without boundaries, and to the fullest.
